Corbis Trading Funeral Services registers a main member and their dependants against one of four schemes. Every scheme is built around the same promise — a dignified send-off, arranged quickly, without the family having to find the money up front.

Dignity

A proper send-off — coffin, hearse and family car, a 5×10 tent with 50 chairs and 2 tables — arranged the same day you call us.

A monthly grocery allowance for the household on every plan, growing from R1,500 on Scheme 10 up to R4,000 plus catering on Scheme 30.

How cover works

One member, a household of dependants, three age bands.

Pick your household size. Each scheme covers the main member plus 5, 9 or 13 registered dependants.
Pick your age band. Premiums are set by the oldest age covered — under 65, under 70, or under 75 years.
That sets your plan code. The code on the pricing table (e.g. "3F") is what appears on your membership card.
Cover is immediate on the essentials. Removal & delivery, mortuary storage, coffin, hearse and family car, 5×10 tent, 50 chairs and 2 tables, 50 printed programs, grave-board and grave-yard decorations are included on every scheme.
Extras scale with your plan. Higher schemes add a livestock value (cow and goat), and Scheme 30 adds full catering — staff, utilities and transport.

No funeral through Corbis?

Every scheme includes a cash claim alternative — if the family arranges the funeral independently, the main member and registered dependants are paid out in cash instead, ranging from R5,000 on Scheme 10 to R15,000 on Scheme 30.

Waiting period

A six-month waiting period applies to all new entrants, running from the 7th premium in the 7th month. For accidental death, a two-month waiting period applies once the first premium has been paid. Members may register 5–13 dependants under 75 years; friendly society cover extends to age 95 for members with cow benefits. The pensioners plan covers members who are under 85 years at joining.
